Well, after a long absence from soap making, I have decided to return. My newborn is 3 1/2 and my arms are mostly free now. Hard to believe how much time he spent in them. So now with a bit of breathing room I find myself casting about for something to do.

Not that we are ever bored around here or have "free" time. We have added several new animals to our urban farm since we last spoke. The garden is growing and expanding.

Life is forever on the move. Glad to be back in the soapy swing of things.

Closing the doors

well friends the time has come. I have decided to close up the soap shop and move on to a new creative endeavor. I have been making soap for over ten years now and it really is time to do something new. I am in the process of selling off my stock and raw materials. I have had a few clients place special orders for what I have left sooooooo if there is anything you will die with out start hoarding now.

I am opening a new shop called Shenanigans. It doesn't have a set focus yet, more just an eclectic space for whatever I have the inspiration to create. I am kicking it all off with a beautiful collection of felt play food. Keep track of me over at my new blog space http://maltagirl-shenanigans.blogspot.com . Shall we start the blog business one more time? I am working a new process now so this blogging thing should be much easier for me. Right now I am busy redefinning who I am and what I do. I need to have this well under way by the new year so I can start fresh. I took some photos for todays post but can't seem to get them to load. I will have to work on that during nap time so I can focus!

While the creation of this blog was motivated by my Harry potter Sock Kit swap, it also had many other reasons for coming into existence. I wanted a place to document my journey through gardening, home schooling and parenting, my creative process and my business and the steps my family is taking towards living green.

So to catch you all up as to what has been happening on the farm, I will post on a different aspect of our goings on a regular basis....so come back and check in!

AHHHHHH! my kids are sick and making me crazy. Things are a bit scattered around here as a result. what I want to be doing is crafting my incredible India atc's and my envelopes for my next swap due dates.

what I have been doing is carrying around my 1 yr old teething chumby and babying my 8 yr old through an ear infection.

the good news however, is there is new stock in the soap shop! Stop by and send me a samples request! Lots of lavender and mint floating around my studio and the garden right now. MMMMMmmmmmmm!

Well, the home show was grand, thank you all who attended! As I am still getting used to the idea of blogging, i forgot to take any pictures!!! what fun is a blog with no pictures??? What finally pushed me into blog land you ask? Why the Harry Potter sock kit swap hosted over at swap-bot. Complete with trivia contests and sorting hat I couldn't resist. I love harry potter. No I mean I really love Harry! I live at Hogwarts when i close my eyes at night and am always sort of sad when I wake up here in the muggle world.

So here I am diving into the world of blogging. Knew I had to do it at some point but have been putting it off for a long time. I blame on my fear of computers and a lack of knowledge. Recently, however, I have realized that even for those with knowledge does the computer seldom behave!

So who am I anyway????I am shannon: Maltagirl to the MMMC, homeschooling mama of two, gardening fanatic, crafty swapper and founder of the fabulous Sacred Waters Soap Company. I wear a lot of hats around here and it makes me a bit crazy at times, but where would we be if we weren't a little crazy???
